Connection issues are occurring unexpectedly.
Currently, my internet speed has been fluctuating significantly. It sometimes reaches 700 Mbps in a moment but drops to just 30 Mbps shortly after. We previously contacted Xfinity to investigate, and a technician rewired some components in the box, claiming everything was fine. However, a few weeks later the issue returned. I’m unsure if it’s necessary to provide precise details about my router and modem—my setup includes an Asus router and a Motorola modem. The problem isn’t limited to my computer; my Asus router also displays similar slowdowns. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Update your Ethernet driver and look for a router firmware upgrade. Should neither of these steps resolve the issue, contact your ISP once more.
i don't know what and where you download from but most private ISP's are a best effort service. Internet is never faster than the slowest link so if you have a long route your downloading from it can be congested and slow. do multiple endless pings to local servers to check if it's any reduction in respons from them. including your router ISP dns server and web server, it should give you a better picture, do a traceroute to each server to check how many hops are between you and the target too.
