It's a 5600x, and I'm aiming for the lowest cost possible without compromising too much on style.
AMD stock cooler isn't that bad on 5000s, and thing is a <£20 cooler won't be much better, maybe your 2x92mm will be but 92mm fans being small tend to be noisy and high pitched, then the cheapest coolers with 120mm fans are £30ish... Did you already buy your cooler ? And there's no spillter ?? That would be surprising
Noted some discussions here that don’t align with my view. Both my partner and I use Asrock B450 motherboards. (One is steel legend ATX, the other isn’t.) In the manuals they mention either a pump header or a fan header, which can be used interchangeably. In the BIOS we can configure what device is connected—either a pump or a fan—and even adjust the pump’s RPM if selected. If we indicate a fan connection, we can define its speed profile. The main distinction between a standard fan header and a pump/fan header seems to be the power capacity it can deliver. A pump likely requires higher wattage, though I’m not entirely certain.
