Also look at motherboard QVLs to assist in identifying memory ranks. At 3600mhz I haven’t found any 32gb single-rank kits from gskill, and they don’t use micron measurements. Although not certain, I’d be fairly sure about that kit. In the slower speed ranges, you’re more likely to encounter single-rank hynix parts. @Jurrunio perhaps it’s wise to do some research before making a decision. The key point is to check the "memory rank" on the official specs—either dual or single.

For RAM sticks under $160, consider DDR4-3200 or DDR4-3600 modules to reach 32GB with a 3600MHz CL16 setup on your Ryzen 5 5600X.

It's noted that capacity per memory chip is listed for their high-speed kits, but the product catalog doesn't show a bundle with 16GB sticks and 8GB chips (your "dual rank" case is just a 2x8GB unit). We can eliminate any dual-rank combinations that total 32GB from Crucial.

2048 megabytes in 8 bits and 1 RX8 are clearly a top-tier setup.

Sure, but you need the actual hardware to confirm. The site lists 2048Mb x64, which TrigrH mentioned as dual rank.

He mentioned 2048MB on 16GB drives equals single rank. 1024MB would be dual rank unless the reference was incorrect.

They refer to the two types of positions: single-rank and dual-rank.

Higher dual rank per channel at C18 offers better performance over single rank per channel at C16 for the same channel. This is why I suggest it.
