Comparing NTFS with other file systems for Mac devices.
Hey there! I’m looking for advice on how to move your large YT subscription files from Windows to a Mac using a MacBook Air. I’m considering options like NTFS support, Parallels virtualization, or converting everything to exFAT. With around 20TB of data across 10TB and two 5TB drives, it’s a big task. What’s the best approach?
You might format the external drive for exFAT or a Mac-supported format. If you have a Windows PC nearby, connect the drives and transfer files via Ethernet. It’s unclear if the Mac Air supports 2.5Gbps wirelessly, but you could use a 10G Ethernet adapter over Thunderbolt—see options here: https://www.amazon.com/OWC-Thunderbolt-1...B07K7SMF89 or a budget 2.5Gbps adapter at $30. Alternatively, use a 2.5Gbps adapter on the PC if available, or opt for 2.5Gbps on the PC itself.
