It's uncertain, AMD provided the board partners with the necessary code, let's be honest. ASUS opposed it, while MSI supported updating the 400 series boards. Others remain to be seen—promotion isn't assured like MSI's case.

MSI really sure or they’ll face lawsuits? ASUS is ASUS and they’ve usually overlooked customers before... :I (I guess it depends on the situation)

The power consumption difference between 1200 and 3300x is minimal, so VRM:SS can manage it easily. It would be better to choose a 3600 for the A320 board rather than upgrading to B450 and 3300x.

No apparent issues with changing to another 65W component. Be cautious about overclocking, unless you're fortunate enough to find a CPU that supports all-core speeds around 4.2GHz with voltages between 1.15 and 1.2V.
