Typically the coolers come with dual mounting systems, which I’m aware of for my Peerless assassin. However, the 9700x performs exceptionally well when you PBO and CO it. This pairing is exactly what I’d choose consistently.

It's been a while since I've used an AMD system, but I'm revisiting the Corsair H100iV2. It came with both Intel and AMD brackets, though the Intel one doesn't match newer sockets. The AMD bracket fits AM4, but it seems to work with AM5 as well—though I should double-check. There are some Asetec mounting kits available for that setup in the past, which might help now. I was disappointed with the FX-8320 a few years back, but I'm moving on to Intel again. Thanks for your help—I'll send my mom to pick it up tomorrow!

Corsair isn't great. Was that $1000 plus tax? For $1317.59 I got an X670E-F, 32GB Lexar Ares 6000C30, and a 9900X. My CPU will arrive tomorrow, I have the rest.
