Both older and newer motherboards had DOCP turned on. Since DOCP functions as a method of overclocking, I wanted to clarify that enabling it was the sole form of adjustment applied to both units, with no further modifications made.
Reviewing your current setup, I’m sure it’s affecting the 5950x’s performance. Please let me know when you have an updated board. It would be interesting to compare the results. While it isn’t flawless, using Cinebench R23 for a pre- and post-test could show clear differences.
I recently received the new board a few weeks ago, but managed to stay busy with other tasks. I only had time to reassemble the rig briefly; full testing is still pending. Noted that using handbrake with Nvenc H264 on a previous board (5950x) took around 7 minutes for a 40-minute video (~3GB), now it's about 6 minutes—seems like progress. I’ll likely run proper tests after Christmas but will update you then. Thanks for the assistance.
I selected the B550 because it didn’t require PCI Gen4 in both M.2 slots.
