Compare Asus PRIME X570 PRO and Gigabyte X570 AORUS PRO for their features and performance.
I’ll choose the first motherboard with 10 votes! Thanks ahead for your help. Pick the better one: ASUS PRIME X570 PRO or Gigabyte X570 AORUS PRO.
Gigabyte stands out for having more USB ports on the back, which is a big plus. I prefer keeping IO stable and avoid relying on bulky dongles. The black model looks cleaner compared to the white one. Both motherboards are solid, but there’s a slight edge in features.
Gigabyte is also here... ASUS offers +6 volts, 2 video outputs (one on Gigabyte only, not for integrated graphics) plus 2 additional USB 3.0 ports on the iShield Gigabyte. It includes 4 USB 2.0 ports and 2 heatsinks for M.2 drives. I prefer a more minimal design with fewer colors—no color-coded analog outputs since they auto-detect anyway, and just two USB port colors (red/blue). ASUS provides a better PCI-E layout; you could use an X1 slot for two thick video cards, but Gigabyte has both X1 slots blocked. Still, you’d have an X16 slot left... this sounds a bit unrealistic, but there are workarounds like PCI-E risers if it’s really important.
Auros Pro stands out as the top choice. The heatsinks on the VRMs are decent, but the VRMs themselves are quite similar. The Prime offers a slight improvement. I recommend going with the Auros Pro.
I also support Aorus Pro. The VRM layout and thermal management are key factors for me...
I'd go with Aorus...well, I DID go with Aorus for my Zen 2 build. haha. Been loving it, and since they were kind of the darlings at launch of Zen 2, there are plenty of helpful videos out there that'll help you dial in your setup based on the BIOS of the Aorus motherboard. Buildzoid did a great one.
