basically, the Auros Pro stands out because it includes a heatsink on the VRMs and uses Vishy powerstages that aren't the most efficient. The Asus board has marginally better VRM modules, but the Auros Pro compensates with the heatsink. I saw your explanation later, sorry about that.
They'll work equally fine. The stuff about 114dB(Rear) and 110dB Front is signal-to-noise ratio... it tells you how good the audio amplifier is if you for example plug high quality headphones into those analogue audio jacks. It just means clearer sound with less background noise or hiss and so on. With regular analogue outputs (those 3 audio jacks for 5.1), the sound card has to take the digital signal, convert it to analogue (and that's where that 114dB snr value comes up), and the amplify it a bit so that it can go through the analogue cables to the speaker system, where that speaker system will amplify it again. So using a digital cable would result in less processing of the sound and in theory it would sound better. But, it would still be quite nice even with the analogue outputs, modern audio chips are quite good.
