I won’t understand what makes Bette look good and there aren’t many videos on YouTube comparing PS4 4K versus 1080p on PC. The reason is my computer only supports games at 1080p maximum, especially for the latest titles—this is definitely not Cry 5. I got it today, so I’m just curious: which resolution setting gives better visuals? Is it higher settings on the console or on my PC? I sometimes see lower frame rates than the console, maybe around 40 to 30 frames per second, which drops quickly. But what really matters is how high the settings are, not just the resolution itself. What PS4’s settings use—medium, high, low, ultra?

The PS4 Pro typically renders at around 1440p. A PC would probably offer a smoother and more consistent experience thanks to higher frame rates overall.

Typically PS4 titles aren't rendered at full 4K resolution; they're adjusted from lower resolutions like 1080p or 1440p. The console generally maintains a balanced setting, occasionally incorporating higher resolutions from specific games.

The PlayStation 4 doesn't currently support 4K gaming. A PC can handle higher frame rates and offer better visuals, though performance depends on the system's specifications.

You're talking about performance issues with your PC. It seems you're experiencing low frame rates and high CPU usage, especially when running at higher resolutions. I understand you're trying to balance settings for stability but aren't sure if that's the best approach. The PS4 might offer a smoother experience, but it's unclear how it would handle games at different resolutions or FPS requirements. Let me know if you'd like help optimizing your settings further!

It would be useful to understand your computer's specifications.

5G model 4690 updated to version 1050, 4GB RAM available – it runs on 2GB, but the system has 8GB of memory.

It's likely similar to PS4 Pro specs, but PC offers more flexibility through settings, which can improve performance at the expense of visual quality if you prefer.

1080p still provides the textures that the PS4 lacks. 4K is quite excessive, to be honest.

This broad statement doesn't hold up. Take a look at the PS4 hardware and then compare it to what you'd need on a PC to match that performance. The PS4 PRO typically costs around 400€ and packs features similar to a Radeon RX480 or 580, with a unique CPU that no PC currently offers. This is the key point everyone seems to overlook: you require superior or pricier equipment to keep up with the PS4 PRO. The extra cost for better hardware is clear, isn't it? In contrast, when you pit a 1000€ PC against top-end components, the PC still performs better but at a much higher price—by a huge margin.
