It's basically a myth and never 100% truth. There's an impending argument that'll likely happen here, but I've done research on this topic many times and I cannot be convinced that when games have Nvidia or AMD plastered on them that it automatically means it was strategically made that way to cripple the other team and boost sales - some forum heroes here like to think Nvidia Gameworks cripples Radeon cards when in fact it doesn't. This is why I continue arguing with the people who claim otherwise because people like you are growing concerned that something like that is happening. I'll say that it's not, and you can check my signature for my argument. Believe what you want, though. Also, feel free to PM me if you have any concerns about anything. I don't go off of what my buddies say alone, I actually do my own research with multiple sources to come up with an opinion if I can't test it myself. Sauce: I have an AMD/AMD Radeon and an Intel/Nvidia rig.

Mantle waste refers to trash in the Earth's mantle. All EA games are backed by AMD.

That effort isn't just wasted—it set a strong foundation for everyone.

From my own experience, using Mantle on a game really hurt things. Jesus, stop the hate!

It's tough to distinguish real feedback from exaggerated claims, especially with mixed reviews about graphics settings. I've noticed Nvidia logos everywhere in the game and some complaints about optimization, while others report smooth performance at 290x. I'm not sure if these issues are genuine or just marketing tactics from both sides. I don't want to be swayed by biased information when deciding whether a game is best suited for my hardware. I'm looking to understand if performance problems exist and how widespread they are.

It depends on when both vendors can get their proper driver updates out the door. Both companies will get optimizations done for games, regardless of who's sponsored it. There's also the matter of some people not being able to pinpoint their issues that could be easily fixable. We should be able to throw up issues and have people help out, which is what the PC community is all about in my opinion, regardless of one's brand preference. I do try my best to help people out to the extent of my knowledge, because a majority of the time there is an easy fix to performance issues if no issues come up in other games. I don't think it's propaganda necessarily though. There's people who are just confused on what "AMD doesn't have drivers out for this game yet" , "We're working with AMD to resolve these issues" means, because those have been brought up many times on other Nvidia sponsored games even before Project Cars - confusing all of that for the game's code locking out AMD from optimizations when that's not the case at all no matter how you want to spin it. So it's merely a matter of someone typing away their beliefs based on very little information and letting any outside input go through one ear and out the other, so to speak. For example, whenever Assassin's Creed: Unity launched there were a number of reported issues with certain Radeon cards (can't remember the exact issues) and Ubisoft released a statement saying "We're getting in contact with AMD so we can resolve the issue", but the internet being the internet, tons of people spun that statement around and said that Ubisoft was blaming AMD for the issues. So you can see there that because of that, clear truth is hard to find on internet forums because some people (I'd like to say most, but I like to think it's the outspoken few) want to push their own agenda. I don't have Project Cars so I can't test it on my systems personally, but I've seen quite a number of people who are running the game just fine even with older Radeon cards. EDIT: Also, sorry for the wall of text.
