I own versions for various titles yet missing support for older systems like Xbox 360 and PS4.
In short, most console players stick to their systems, while PC gamers are more flexible—occasionally playing on consoles too. If you're thinking about this, a good approach is: start with a PC, then pick a modern console if you like Nintendo titles, another if exclusives matter, include older consoles for variety, and don’t forget the PS2.
According to what I understand, there are no console emulators for PCs other than the PlayStation 2. PCSX2 is the only one available, while XBox One and PS4 don’t have PC emulators, and the PS3 also doesn’t.
I own a PS2 emulator but it doesn't perform well, and most other emulators require a lot of time to master before they function properly.
They're designed for the console, not the PC, which means emulators are needed. These emulators can be unstable and sometimes fail to function properly since a PC isn't compatible with a PS2.
