I’m working on cooling my Ryzen 1600, but temperatures rise to 80-82 and it powers down. Right now it’s running at 3.7GHz at 1.35V.

You’re hitting your temperature limits—get a better cooler or fix the unstable state.

The system might not be stable. Please remove the OC and begin from scratch. What power supply unit do you have, and how long has it been?

It doesn't seem to reach thermal boundaries, though it's probably not a stable configuration.

Usually relying on the stock heat sink is correct. Install a good cooler before pushing all cores to that speed.

OC stability issues are common, often due to CPU or VRM constraints. Thermal limits can also play a role, especially if the cooling inside your case is insufficient. For an A320 board, overclocking isn't supported, which may affect performance.

the exposed VRM units are quite harsh for overclocking, around 1.35 volts would be challenging

Your power supply unit is PSU and it's the same age as your motherboard.

Evga 500w is about 3.5 years old, motherboard is Asus B450M Pro, and it’s roughly 3 months old.
