During startup, Chrome uses around 50% CPU. After closing the task in Task Manager, it works fine. This process runs separately from the main Google Chrome process, operating as a distinct one. I attempted to uninstall Chrome and reset it, but no success. Experienced similar issues on another system, which resolved after some time. Uncertain about the cause.

Turn off hardware acceleration and disable its background execution capability. Check if this resolves the issue.

I won't use Chrome. Edge runs on Chromium, and it's much superior. Firefox was good for privacy once, but things changed later. Other browsers are just jokes.

So, just a brief clarification—what exactly Chromium is built upon?

Chrome is built on Chromium, and Edge is also from Chromium. The main distinction lies in how they run and their implementation details. Keep in mind the issue with Chrome where launching requires copying an executable and renaming it? Edge has never faced that challenge. There was a recent incident where every download reported a "Virus scan failed" and blocked downloads in Chrome, but Edge remained unaffected.

It would be great if your witty and clever response were right. I recommend you do some reading.

Disagreement is often what makes a forum successful. But personal attacks in that conflict only cause problems. This is your caution. Be polite when speaking with others here. Avoid personal attacks or you risk missing this discussion.

Use Glary Utilities to disable Chrome tabs at startup and run OS, then share the outcome here.

It's good to hear that others are free from that rule in this discussion. No concerns, I won't be coming back to this thread.
