The red rectangular connectors are for EPS or PCIe cables, and the power supply doesn't matter which type you choose—it only cares about the cable's purpose. You could use an EPS connector at one end and get either 2x8-pin or 2x4+4 pins, but then you'd only have 2x6+2 or 2x8-pin connectors on a single cable for power. If you don’t need multiple high-power GPUs, it works fine. You could also use a 2 x Molex to PCIe 6+2 adapter, though it’s not advised if possible.
