The variation comes from increased heat generation because of faster clock and boost rates. All other factors remain unchanged.

It really depends on where you are. The most affordable B560s in the U.S. are about $110, and with a locked i5 it won’t be a big deal. Good boards cost around $120-150. For a 5600x, I’d likely match that price for a B550.

Reviewed the European pricing. B560 models are available from 75 Euros, Z590 begins at 150 Euros and B550 boards start at least 65 Euros. X570 boards begin at 140 Euros. This is just a general estimate; prices may vary significantly in other European markets (I’m not certain about the location of op). On the subject, I recommend the Ryzen 5 5600X, even though it’s priced around 370 Euros—about a 60 Euro markup over its MSRP.

It seems this situation is very close to reality. Full integration could offer the best value. Previously, such decisions favored AMD’s approach because am4 had more longevity than Intel’s option. The key point is that Ryzen 3 marked the last version of am4, so that edge no longer exists. Even if both models were priced at their MSRP, AMD would still win in terms of bang for the buck. The issue remains they aren’t.

It looks like the 11400F is roughly 100 EUR cheaper, about 170 EUR. That makes it a better deal. If you don’t mind skipping over graphics cards or iGPU speed and just want to play, the performance gain is only about 5%, which isn’t much. The 11400F is under half the price of the 5600X, so it’s definitely the best value. When comparing the 11600K and 5600X, they seem similar, but the 5600X uses less power, giving it an edge in that regard.

10400f offers stronger performance compared to a 5600x in a 3600x setup. It might still be sufficient. Some believe a fast GPU can handle high-end cards like the 2700, making the choice more about gaming needs than raw specs. The 11700k remains a solid option and can be paired with better GPUs once market conditions improve. Edited April 23, 2021 by Bombastinator

Playing around with a 1070 Ti will only bring the GPU to its limits, no matter what processor you choose.

It seems uncertain. I don't see a euro rate for a 3600.
