I really appreciate having a tangible possession, but I’ve noticed it’s getting tougher to collect new PC game releases thanks to Steam. That’s why I’ve begun expanding my collection to include older titles like floppy disks. Curious, what else do other collectors focus on?
I favor receiving physical copies mostly since my ISP isn't great and downloading a new AAA game would reduce my bandwidth even with an unlimited plan.
Digital, I’m running out of room and time—there’s no room for 600 DVD cases, especially with my Steam collection.
I just wanted to check if owning a large number of games on Steam doesn’t cause any issues about selling them later, especially if your interest wanes.
Avoid needing a physical version right now due to numerous anti-piracy measures. You can't just play from a DVD and start using it—download extra files instead. Just prepare an empty container, print the cover, and you're good to go. The only items worth keeping as physical copies today are music.
I favor hands-on experiences but accept digital options (especially for PC). I own a big collection of console games mainly because they often come with the complete titles—though that isn't true for Xbox 360 or later systems.
