I've been using only digital formats recently. I prefer the simplicity over physical materials.

While playing on console, everything felt perfect! After switching to PC, I kept trying to stick with physical copies but faced issues like DRM and games not being available in physical form. Eventually, I went digital. It wasn’t my favorite, but I got the reasons. Ten years ago, *StarCraft* was my first physical purchase—no CD needed, Steam included it. Digital gives more sales and avoids store trips, though it costs the same as physical at launch (why pay $60 for a game without a case or booklet?!). I also feel less ownership with digital; it seems like Steam is leasing titles. What if a game stops supporting or gets taken off Steam? I’m worried I’m paying for something I might lose. PC gamers have limited options, that’s all.

We mainly use one ISP with a few smaller ones, but they all rely on the big providers' systems. I think if you really need an official copy of a game, you'll have to accept DRM, so I just purchase physical copies and install updates as needed.
