I purchased two RAM modules, each 8 GB, from AliExpress. The ad claims a speed of 3200 MHz, but my motherboard (ASUS B450M) automatically lowers them to 2600 MHz by default. There’s an "xmp profile" setting that raises the frequency to 3200 MHz. Should I worry about damaging my data, what impact does this have on performance, and should I keep the lower speed?
