Distro variations may exist, names could differ (such as APT versus Pacman), and KDE offers its own set of standard system tools. Unless you're aiming for deep terminal work, minor adjustments are likely. The main points to consider are: Pacman is the default, but I highly suggest using Pamac for AUR support and completely skipping KDE's built-in package manager. Pamac handles dependencies better and provides more useful packages since AUR is community-driven. I can't strongly endorse this path when beginning with Arch – https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Main_page
