I intended to make a small improvement soon, but the deal isn’t terrible at all. Should I go ahead now if it doesn’t seem urgent, or should I keep my original idea, knowing another sale will likely happen soon?

It's difficult to say without more details. But it seems you're asking to pause. So pause!

That's reasonable ^^ I aimed to ask fewer questions in one place, focusing more on whether upgrading is necessary rather than specifics. My setup has a 3600, and assembling this blender rig has turned into my main task, so I was seeking a stronger CPU to speed up many operations. The budget is capped at around £300, targeting a price range of 5700-5800. I'm planning 32GB RAM and a 2070 Super, with the ASUS Prime X470 motherboard.

The 5900X is now £330, you should definitely purchase it if you use a blender for work—it offers a 50% boost in core performance compared to the 5800X (12 cores to 8).

Yeah? I was considering saving money and getting the 5700x, but if you really believe it’s worth the £100 then I’m willing to handle it.

It will help you save time, and money goes faster. £330 looks like a solid deal. It should be worth the effort.

When doing heavy CPU rendering and not relying on GPU, it's a good idea. The 5950x model is also available at that price or lower.

I'm just concerned that when the price hits 7000 they'll be reducing it, and I might seem foolish.

They’re likely to stick with the same launch price and will probably perform better. That’s the usual. If you want a top-tier upgrade, go for it now with a new or used 5900x/5950x. The next 12 cores won’t be cheap either.
