When I attempted to swap my CPU cooler, the chip stuck to it and I somehow removed it from the socket—though a few pins were bent. The issue is the small filled hole on the socket. Is this typical or a sign of damage? Should I replace it? Did one pin become lodged? Can I extract it safely? I’m feeling really confused. Please advise.
Ensure the retention arm remains extended during CPU removal.
