Based on what you've seen, using Security Essentials can help keep your system clean from malware, which might be useful for general browsing and streaming. It could work well as a deeper cleaner compared to some other tools, though it's not specifically marketed for gaming performance. Since you're not using VPNs and your connection speed is moderate, it should be fine without affecting your online activities much.

I rely on Avast 2014 Free across every machine, and then use Malwarebytes once a month for thorough scans. It performs well, even on my grandmother’s system (she frequently installs those annoying screensavers).

WeBootTrust is essential—it’s not just an antivirus, it alerts about questionable sites. You can easily work around it or switch to another site without much impact on performance. Malwarebytes Pro blocks most threats, letting you use any free antivirus afterward. Security Essentials also works well. In short, you likely don’t need both unless you’re dealing with tricky sites.

I'm talking about Avast since it hasn't let me down like AVG and Avira have. Thanks to its strong free version and the quick scan feature, plus the gaming mode that helps reduce interruptions.

I rely on Microsoft Security Essentials for quick performance without any issues. Previously, I used AVG, but now I believe true security comes from basic awareness.

I'm already covered by Kaspersky and would not need additional services. They've consistently provided excellent support.

I've relied on Avast for more than five years without any issues, so I strongly suggest installing it. Additionally, perform routine Malwarebytes scans to eliminate malware effectively.
