So while waiting for a week with no PC as my graphics card was in transit to me. Finally got it today and put it in. switch PSU on and no light on my motherboard. Oh no indeed. check PSU. 24 pin cables two the one the power supply came with and the custom one I’ve been using. Tried everything I could think of and still no lights turn on to motherboard so I can’t boot as it has lights before anything. I tested cables with a 24 pin power tester the fans and GPU fans spin up but not when connected to motherboard. Has it bricked itself with a week not being on? It is an Asus x570 TUF. Do I need to contact asus for RMA? I don’t have PC funds as I said got a new GPU. With all I had. Anything I can do or is it done?

Was working before but been sitting for week waiting on exchange gpu. not brand new system bought motherboard may 2020 still in warranty and always been working. Today finally got new GPU. Yes the cables are made for this psu. Just custom sleeved instead of the basic one they come with. So I turn the PSU on excited and then I about shit a brick.

EVGA released the 3070 XC3 ultra alongside the 3070 Ti FTW3 ultra. Asus offers the X570 TUF gaming with a Ryzen 9 3900X and full build configuration.
I just sold it because I needed FTW3 to start first. Someone had it for $690, so I sold mine for $720 on Reddit. The motherboard isn’t working—it has LED lights next to the chipset. When I powered it up yesterday, there were no lights, and after checking the PSU, cables, and using the tester, everything seemed fine. It looks like the board never turned on after yesterday. I’m not sure what caused it, and I don’t know if I can fix it right now. I could try a different GPU, but without the board working there’s no chance of booting.

The GPU is brand new. Placing one would likely prevent the motherboard from receiving power, causing it not to turn on even when the GPU is present. I’m unable to press the power button and can’t test much. I’ll give it a try. The GPUs I haven’t tried are 1070 and 2060. There’s a battery available for clearing the CMOS. I noticed a jumper that attempts to boot the motherboard the traditional way but fails. EDIT: My original 3070 always powered on when I connected it. Recently, after waiting a week, I installed my new card in the PSU and turned it on. The motherboard lit up completely, and the power tester confirmed everything worked. After reconnecting the 24-pin cable, nothing happened.
You’re referring to the power tester tool. Some power supplies include a small 24-pin connector for testing purposes, but it’s best not to use it when other parts are connected. It’s mainly for checking PSU functionality or powering simple fans. I’m not sure if running power through components while they’re plugged in could cause problems—applying power to the board itself isn’t harmful, just avoid short circuits. Remove all RAM except one stick, disconnect SATA hard drives and power off, take out the GPU. Reduce everything down to the bare minimum needed for booting. Use a reliable GPU and reset the BIOS beforehand—either by removing the PSU from the wall and removing the battery, or using the BIOS reset jumper. Inspect all connections carefully, ensuring no screws are hidden behind the motherboard and there are no shorts in the tray. Then attempt to boot. If it still doesn’t work, remove the motherboard, wrap it in cardboard or wood, insert the PSU, and try booting again.
