I stream occasionally and work on video editing. I've also experimented with Blender since I sometimes participate in Ludum Dare coding challenges. I think the 5900X would be perfect for packaging games in Unity, especially when paired with a powerful machine like a Threadripper 3970X that can handle it quickly. My own experience shows that once the game size increases, my 9600K starts to lag after about 15 minutes, whereas someone with more RAM could manage it smoothly. I upgraded to more than 16GB because my setup—Unity, multiple browser tabs, OBS, Discord—requires a lot of memory. The 5900X should handle that effortlessly. Most of the games I like are moderately CPU-heavy, but a 5900X is unnecessary for them.
In general, the Strix stands out because of its superior original character concept compared to the Aorus. The software is user-friendly and offers greater stability for OC from the Aorus. I’m not claiming the Aorus is flawed, but the Strix clearly has an advantage.
It wouldn't require excessive effort even for games because it would save time by reducing rendering work, minimizing background program usage, and offering a significant performance boost compared to the 9600k.
Agreed. I’ll mention that 5600x and 5800x have been easily found on Amazon for a while now at $290 and $400 respectively. It seems many still believe it’s been a few months since that was the situation. The 5900x is also available today, though it’s priced $100 above its MSRP. So whether you’re looking for a 5600x/5800x, they’re now accessible at lower prices than before. It’s not what it used to be, right?
