I'm working on restoring my dad's Dell Optiplex 9020 after a critical SSD failure. No matter the USB drive size or port, I consistently encounter a black screen with distorted white lines across the display. I've attempted to create a Windows 10 installation from both Windows Media Creator and Rufus. The PC functions normally when using a system SSD from another Dell Optiplex machine. What should I do?

Verify SecureBoot status in BIOS. If active, turn it off briefly and retest. Could need to attempt Legacy Boot since some USB devices struggle with UEFI BIOS.

Hi
There was a new update released. However, the same issue occurred after installing it. This time, the setup began after about 30 seconds. Everything seems fine now.
