I believe it should have been obvious that I can't secure a GPU, and I also don’t have another one available. In either case, I just described why my GPU isn’t working well in the game—because of that setting, which prevents it from running smoothly. Since my CPU is limiting performance, it’s clear this will be worse than my brother’s setup with a Ryzen 5 2600 and a GTX 1650, which can use the option and still perform nicely.
It's not related to the GPU itself, it seems like a driver problem. Did you check my previous post? The issue appears to stem from driver settings rather than hardware limitations. People using AMD RX 6000 series still have the option turned off, even though their systems run smoothly. For the RX 500 series, we understand they're less powerful and drivers behave oddly under heavy game use, leading to crashes. Halo Infinite now blocks this feature on AMD GPUs because it's not optimized for driver stability.
The lowest setting I can use is 85%, and I’m using a 900p display instead of an FHD one. My monitor is an LG 1600x900, which runs at 75hz, so pushing the GPU further isn’t advisable because AMD GPUs are already prone to issues, and it might worsen thermal throttling.
The issue isn't related to the GPU driver or hardware itself. The problem lies with the GPU capabilities.
I explained my concerns since the game also uses the CPU for certain graphics tasks. I mentioned that this is what was limiting performance. If I could enable the Async Compute option, the CPU wouldn't be the bottleneck. However, the option is turned off, leaving the CPU to hold performance. That's why I'm pushing to get better utilization from it. The GPU and its driver prevent me from using Async Compute, so the game relies on both the CPU and GPU. Because the CPU is a bit underpowered, it's negatively affecting the game's speed.
