I test R23 on my i5-12600k with all P and E cores boosted to 5.2 and 4 GHz. The score came in at 19.5K during multi-thread testing, keeping temperatures under 90°C. Is this a safe temperature, or should I lower the voltage? Also, does lowering the voltage affect performance?

It's acceptable from a technical standpoint, but keeping a chip at 90°C for extended times can severely damage it, potentially halving its lifespan.

R23 delivers strong performance when subjected to continuous stress. How would you normally use it? Observe the temperature changes during that operation.

Your typical gaming routine mainly involves Valorant and FFXIV, often totaling 10-14 hours a day. Your CPU temperatures usually hover around 78°C with some variation. Is this acceptable? Using R23 only shows temperatures during maximum load; I don’t want it to reach the junction temperature under stress (I ran R23 six times, totaling an hour and temps stayed below 90°C).

That's acceptable, high temperatures won't harm anything unless you turn off the temperature protection. Voltage matters more. Generally, any load below 1.45V (most recommend around 1.4V) is safe. This means full load, not idle. However, at that voltage it can overheat and cause throttling in most coolers.

It seems to work as long as it doesn’t throttle, right? You’re handling the command line, so you can verify with cpuz or hwinfo64 if it’s throttling. If not, everything should be okay.

FF14 runs smoothly with many threads, though it’s usually light load—often below 20%. Usage rarely spikes to high levels, and temperatures stay normal. After a few hours of play, here’s what the numbers show.

It's unclear exactly when or why it happened, but perhaps because I was doing something else around the same time as playing, the situation stood out to me a lot.

Began a new section in Elemental/Typhon and asked about typical elements in Japan.
