I'm considering an upgrade for my Msi pro h610mg DDR4 motherboard. Should I invest in a higher-terraformed slot or wait and opt for a 3060?

Unless your processor is struggling because of inadequate power delivery (and you ignore your CPU's role), simply purchasing a more advanced motherboard won't automatically improve performance.

I mean avoid referencing your computer's CPU in the conversation.

It varies by processor; for a 12100f or similar, it doesn't work, but with a 13900k it does.

You have a 12.6 million dollar setup, and when you run Ups Task Manager during games it shows 98% usage. It might be a power issue or just the hardware specs. Your 500-watt supply could handle it, but worth checking the actual load.

The question asks about games with 98% usage on a 12,600k device. It seems you're looking for information on popular or high-demand titles for that specific hardware.

You're likely hesitating over the 12.6 million dollars with such a low-end board. A Z690 might actually be a better option lately, offering a solid 110W power cap. For an RTX 3060 it should work with at least 450W, so a decent 500W power supply would suffice. To give you a better idea, could you share the exact 500W PSU you're considering? That way I can help you decide if it's worth upgrading.

That setup seems unusual, the H610 might not be up to the task, and it won’t help with any overclocking gains.
