Some reports claimed CryEngine was unsuitable for AMD systems. It seems the CryEngine-powered game you mentioned was originally released as an AMD Gaming Evolved title. The source of that specific benchmark might be unclear, and your performance details are still puzzling to me.

Same idea again. It seems the Intel HD Graphics on my laptop can handle Warface at high settings around 40 FPS or so. Edit: Sorry, I was being misleading. Around 60 FPS with medium settings.

Unexpectedly, I didn’t notice that. It seems there’s greater confidence in the R9 270 for SC now.

I’m expecting that with a 270 or 960, those cards will perform poorly unless you adjust things. You might want to check the secondary market for a used 780 or 290 instead. Even then, they’ll struggle under heavy SC pressure.

My R9 270 reached its 2GB VRAM threshold during low settings, so I considered options with 3/4GB RAM.

More overclocking doesn't always mean better results.

Overclocking a card doesn't guarantee improved performance; different games and applications respond variably, with some benefiting more than others.

Star Citizen operates at an advanced stage, which makes it particularly receptive to high-performance upgrades. In my view, it matches the demand of both CPU and GPU resources.
