Consider getting a different router from your ISP. In India, many providers restrict users from using their own routers.

It's not straightforward. The ISP needs to approve the device for their network. Sometimes companies like Verizon, which offer fiber-to-the-home, provide a standard ONT. This unit converts fiber into Ethernet or coaxial connections. Other providers, such as AT&T, use a combined ONT and router setup that can't be swapped out. You'll need to contact your ISP for assistance. For clarity, poor customer service is a common issue worldwide. The only telecom I've had positive experiences with is T Mobile USA; otherwise, it's quite difficult.
