Place the free software on a flash drive with enough space and follow the steps through BIOS. It shouldn't request a key since it's not visible on your Microsoft account. You can note down your key manually for future use.
You can set up Windows 10 without entering any password. After installation, sign in with your Microsoft account, and the device should appear under it. You’ll then be able to move the key to the new machine. For detailed instructions, refer to the Microsoft help documentation linked earlier. On your current system, navigating to Settings > System > Activation will display that Windows is licensed digitally tied to your Microsoft account. The original key is no longer valid and has been replaced by this digital license.
