It was a tough situation, but everything turned out fine after I swapped everything and put the SSD in a new PC. It booted up perfectly, as if nothing had happened. Windows 11 thought it was all normal, though I wasn’t sure if that mattered much. After completing the process, I had to log into my account and remove the old device from my list. Yes, it turned out it wasn’t an OEM key.
I mean.. I've purchased mine in the past from places like kingquin or g2a.. but you do risk getting a blacklisted key/stolen key. The best avenue is to always purchase from MS or official retailers. Do as you will at your own risk. I've never had any issues with my keys though.
