Can't engage foes in Dark Souls 2, I'm struggling to figure this out. Please help me out!
For some odd reason, today I struggle to attack enemies half the time. My character either stands still or waits until after I right-click. It works when I hit the air, but not against opponents. Occasionally I walk up and keep clicking rapidly until I realize it won’t work, then I switch to rolling away but only after my chance runs out, which often leads to defeat. This issue is new. I’ve turned off the double-click checker, verified no other keybindings were set, and restarted the game—still the same problem. I’ll attach a video. Please note that in both cases I keep spamming right-clicks.
By the way, the main idea here is explaining what happens when you press the attack button during a battle with an opponent.
In DarkSouls 2, there are no combat encounters where you can be attacked.
I also mentioned that hitting functions properly when I strike the air.
Remove the existing INI files and rebuild the game settings from scratch.
That would be a sudden movement, likely causing some unexpected reaction.
