Can the Shuttle minipc be saved?
I have attempted to set up Ubuntu on a 10-year-old Shuttle XS35GT V2. After a successful installation, I tried to restart it but it keeps showing the BIOS splash screen. Pressing keys repeatedly doesn't help, and the only solution is turning it off with the power button. The system functioned normally before, except for being extremely slow, especially after switching from Windows 10 to Ubuntu. I've tried different setups: SSDs from Ubuntu, Windows 10 SSDs, and using a USB boot drive. However, all attempts lead to the same unresponsive BIOS flash screen. Do you have any idea how to resolve this?
I did that when I first installed Ubuntu on the ssd, but now, after the installation, I can't pass the boot screen.
So I think my answer is no.
I would simply attempt to install another Linux distribution such as Mint. I've consistently experienced success in running Linux Mint on nearly any platform. Consider trying the lightweight Xfce variant or a highly minimal operating system like Linux Lite.

This should work fine. I have converted many of the little netbook things with the Atom as well as with the Sempron (?) I think it's called.
They still run like crap TBH. Better than Windows, but these were never going to be "good" on anything and as time passes that gets worse. Unless this is a pet project it may be best not to spend too much time on it.
You need to bypass the BIOS splash screen and access the system settings directly.
I'm unable to locate your exact model in the support list. Could you check if there might be a typo or missing information? It seems there could be an issue with the bios firmware as well.
