I've been using Windows 7 for a while now and really like it. I haven't tried Windows 8 before, so I'm unsure about switching. Recently, I encountered stubborn malware that keeps coming back despite using several removal tools. It's becoming increasingly difficult to deal with. I'm feeling frustrated and am considering a full reinstall. I got my current Windows 7 copy from a friend, but it's no longer available. Now I need to purchase a new version of either 7 or 8. I don't want to wait for a better update and just manage the problem until then. Any advice?

Windows 8.1 continuously used throughout the day. Rumors suggest Windows 10 is a budget-friendly option for existing Windows 8.1 users, offering enhancements. You can always switch to Classic Shell and skip Metro, though I didn’t use that since it’s easy to ignore.

Windows 8.1 with the traditional shell offers improved speed. Remember to store your disk and product key securely, as Windows 8.1 can often become unresponsive.

I recently changed to Windows 8, and it turns out it's not as problematic as many thought. It just needs some time to get comfortable.

I once enjoyed Windows seven before moving to Windows 8.1. It really feels faster compared to the previous version.

Thank you for your prompt responses. I was just concerned about obtaining another copy of 7 since it tends to deteriorate rapidly. /cheers
