Dear All,
Please check my PC configuration and give my advice.
I plan to use this machine exclusively for 2K and 4K gaming, and I absolutely do not want to overclock anything.
Here’s what I have built:
Motherboard: Gigabyte B760M D3HP DDR5
CPU: i7-12700KF
RAM: T-Force 32 GB 6000mhz
SSD: Biwin 2TB M350 M.2
GPU: Zotac Twin Edge 5060 TI 16 GB
PSU: Deepcool PF750 750W
CASE: Deepcool CK500 with an extra fan from Thermalright
CPU Cooler: Deepcool ASSASSIN 4S
Is the motherboard and CPU a suitable pairing without overclocking, or should I modify it?
Also, is the PSU I mentioned sufficient for this setup?
Please review and inform me if any components are faulty in this build.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! A straightforward yes. If I were you, I’d consider a non-F SKU processor because an iGPU is essential for fixing display problems. Also, since you’re using a K suffix processor, match it with a Z790 chipset motherboard. Currently, the board only supports overclocking RAM, not the CPU itself. PSU: Deepcool PF750 750W Category-E PSU. Poor quality. Replace it with a more reliable one. Please check your PC build and give me some guidance. Users should format their threads with details from this discussion; *How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice* First, acknowledge the right place for such requests — this adaptation comes from the Animal’s *How To Ask For New Build Advice*. I made it because many people are asking for upgrade tips here and on CPU forums, and I think... forums. the community can offer useful advice. Moved thread from Components to Systems.

do you really need to modify your motherboard?
because i don't plan to overclock and i just use this pc for gaming at 4k/2k resolutions.
i'm asking about the vrm 4+1+1 setup and whether my cpu will handle it.

The difference in cost between the two motherboards is significant. The first one has an 8 phase VRM and is priced at $90, while the second model with 8 phases is listed at $119.99.

consider whether altering your motherboard is necessary given its VRM configuration.

I might face stability issues if I alter it. The $120 one I linked earlier seems reasonable.

The i7-12700KF can reach up to 190W, which might make a 4-phase VRM insufficient. You might turn off the PL1 and PL2 boost settings in the BIOS, but even then the CPU output would still be around 125W. For this motherboard, consider purchasing a 65W CPU instead.

Does this MSI board meet the requirements for an i7-12700KF?
