Building Advice Is asking if the motherboard and CPU together are suitable for gaming.
Dear All,
Please check my PC configuration and give my advice.
I plan to use this machine exclusively for 2K and 4K gaming, and I absolutely do not want to overclock anything.
Here’s what I have built:
Motherboard: Gigabyte B760M D3HP DDR5
CPU: i7-12700KF
RAM: T-Force 32 GB 6000mhz
SSD: Biwin 2TB M350 M.2
GPU: Zotac Twin Edge 5060 TI 16 GB
PSU: Deepcool PF750 750W
CASE: Deepcool CK500 with an extra fan from Thermalright
CPU Cooler: Deepcool ASSASSIN 4S
Is the motherboard and CPU a suitable pairing without overclocking, or should I modify it?
Also, is the PSU I mentioned sufficient for this setup?
Please review and inform me if any components are faulty in this build.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! A straightforward yes. If I were you, I’d consider a non-F SKU processor because an iGPU is essential for fixing display problems. Also, since you’re using a K suffix processor, match it with a Z790 chipset motherboard. Currently, the board only supports overclocking RAM, not the CPU itself. PSU: Deepcool PF750 750W Category-E PSU. Poor quality. Replace it with a more reliable one. Please check your PC build and give me some guidance. do you really need to modify your motherboard?
because i don't plan to overclock and i just use this pc for gaming at 4k/2k resolutions.
i'm asking about the vrm 4+1+1 setup and whether my cpu will handle it.
The difference in cost between the two motherboards is significant. The first one has an 8 phase VRM and is priced at $90, while the second model with 8 phases is listed at $119.99.
I might face stability issues if I alter it. The $120 one I linked earlier seems reasonable.
