It seems the stock cooler makes the situation more realistic. I have a few additional ideas: It appears you've addressed the common issue of thermal throttling, which I haven't encountered with Novabench (and I'm not sure how the benchmark functions). From what I understand, it's not a standard test like Cinebench or Geekbench, which are more widely used for practical CPU evaluation. Several factors influence benchmark results—RAM speed and manufacturing variations are just a couple—but honestly, unless you're aiming to push your processor to its absolute limits (and likely invest a lot of time in research), it's probably not something to stress over.
I chose to test another benchmark on Geekbench and userbenchmark.com. My GPU and other devices achieved impressive scores, surpassing my CPU which performed above average. Yet when measured against similar setups, my CPU lagged behind by 24%—a significant gap. Results: UserBenchmarks showed 81% for Game, 65% for Desk, and 66% for Work. Hello, the problem is resolved. I adjusted the CPU minimum power setting to 100% and rechecked all benchmarks—now everything is working smoothly. Appreciate the assistance with thermal throttling as well.
If you're still facing the problem, navigate to the control panel - hardware and software - power options. Select balance, then click on change plan settings, modify advanced power settings, search for process power management, increase the minimum processor state to 100%, and apply the changes. This resolved the issue for me at least!
