Both the CPU and the processor are not functioning optimally.
Hello, I completed a Novabench test after experiencing low FPS in Hitman 2. The data showed both my GPU and CPU were underperforming. I’m looking for advice on how to improve this. Also, while checking, my CPU temperatures reached 106°C and GPU temps hit 44°C. My setup includes an RTX 2060, a stock Ryzen 5 2600, the GA-A320M-H motherboard, a 500GB M.2 SSD, and a 2TB HDD.
Hello, I re-applied thermal paste, reinstalled my CPU cooler, and ran the benchmark again. The score improved by about 250, but the system still shows underperformance. When I checked the CPU temperature in the BIOS, it displayed 40°C, which is much cooler than the benchmark results. I’m wondering if there are other suggestions to consider. Thank you for your help.
Hello, I added more thermal paste and verified the BIOS readings showing just 40°C, which is a significant change from the benchmark. The score went up by 250, but it still indicates underperformance. Could you share more details or check anything else? Thanks!
The temperature will shift rapidly after the load is taken off—meaning when you halt the benchmark and restart it, the drop will be noticeable. It’s best to keep an eye on the temperatures during the test with HWiNFO. This tool not only shows current readings but also provides a simple yes/no signal to show if the CPU is throttling.
It's really frustrating the arse XD If you come up with a solution, please let me know haha.
Hello, the software has been running for about half an hour now. It reported a CPU temperature of 45°C, which indicates the thermal paste replacement might have helped. However, when I ran the benchmark again, the score only improved by 250, and it still suggests my PC isn’t performing well compared to its specifications.
