Hello, I'm Greyson. Here are the details about your setup. Your monitors went dark while watching a YouTube video, even though no games were running. Both screens turned off and your speakers produced a strange noise before becoming silent. After both displays failed, the video kept playing. After restarting, your computer didn't recognize any monitors—it just shut down when it detected no signal. I tried using the motherboard graphics card again, but it didn’t work. Eventually, after letting it sit off for a while, the GPU fans stopped working. I changed power cables and PCI-E connections on the GPU, but nothing helped. It appears the GPU is completely dead. What might have caused this? How can I resolve it? Please help me understand what happened.

It seems your graphics card is not working properly. Would you like me to test it on a different computer?

Hi there. Apologies for missing the details. Everything is noted in the main thread here. It occurred after I finished gaming for the night. I was just relaxing with a YouTube video when everything went dark. The GPU experienced a minor overclock (possibly due to fan curves), and the CPU had a similar adjustment last year. My last GPU update was last week.

Hey, sorry about that. It seems the card is probably quite old—maybe even several years past its prime. I haven’t handled an RMA before, so I’ll take it at face value. Gigabyte should definitely not be surprised if they just let it go.

It might be due to normal wear and tear or an issue with the character model. Consider resetting the CMOS and check connectivity via the motherboard's GPU port.

I managed to boot up the computer and enter the login using the igpu, but it still doesn’t recognize my graphics card even though it’s installed.

That’s a clear indication something’s wrong with your GPU. It might be dead, or it could be haunted by the spirits of Halloween!

She really put in a lot of effort over the years, but it seems she gave up eventually. Lucky the rest of the system stayed intact!
