7.1s(ssd) from BIOS, around a 20-second cold boot. Have you used CCleaner or installed it yet? Also, SSD or HDD? The Task Manager shows the time from BIOS at the top right corner.

Loading typically takes 15 to 20 seconds. The system starts up within 3 to 6 seconds.

Hdd? That looks like a lot of activity on my laptop—it usually takes around 10 seconds, especially with an SSD.

It takes just four seconds for everything to load and appear on my PC. The Corsair Link and Google Drive are the first things I see.

Windows power-off & restart with quick boot = Desktop loads in under 20 seconds, RAM disks retain data from the last session even after shutdown, Windows restarts fast despite FastBoot being off, RAM disks appear empty. Are you running on a hard drive? Defragment and use Disk Cleanup. If using an SSD this could be concerning.

Your setup uses an HDD and you've already defragmented it. Continuously updating during technical previews might still affect performance, depending on the updates' nature.

It runs in roughly 7 seconds, no joke. After a fresh install, just press the button and voilà—steam and Skype are ready right away. Thanks for the SSD gods!

You're testing the technical preview? Microsoft could be testing updates on your devices. Launch the Windows Feedback app and report slow input response. I’m not sure how Windows swaps system files during upgrades, but a corrupt file might be causing delays while you type. Try running "sfc /scannow" to help verify the installation files.
