Hey, the switch was done and dual channel is functioning properly with the 5500. Interestingly, on the ASUS board the 5700 also supports dual channel.

It seems the AORUS B450 ELite affects RAM performance, though it's not confirmed as a flaw. The problem might lie with the board itself. Good to know!
