I possess this motherboard. I’m hoping the link displays the BIOS versions correctly. I recently purchased the Ryzen 3000G CPU for it. I just found out that this board only works with BIOS version P3.20 or newer. I’m unsure which one it is, but I don’t have a CPU installed yet to verify. I recall updating from BIOS 1.10 to either 1.20 or 1.30, but I’m not sure which. My concern is whether I made an error by buying the 3000G and should have chosen the 200GE instead, since that model is compatible with BIOS 1.30. What options do I have to ensure the Ryzen 3000G functions properly if it’s limited to BIOS 3.20?

The only way to ensure compatibility is by updating the BIOS. I’m hoping a friend might be able to provide a CPU, or you could visit a nearby store.

I understood it, it’s okay. Should I go ahead and cancel the order or wait for the 200GE to be available again and try it then?

When local stores can't help, you can usually get it done without cost.

the only thing you're missing out on by skipping the 3000G is the ability to overclock, which is mostly just for jokes. eBay could offer great choices for 200GE, 220GE, and 240GE models if you're planning to cancel the order. For simplicity, I believe checking if a BIOS update is possible would be the most practical next step.

Yea, I just called one and they said it would be $40-$50 to update the BIOS. Which is literally the price I just paid for the 3000G. Yea, I'm gonna cancel the order since it's only been a few hours since I made it. Not gonna be doing much overclocking on this motherboard. Gonna check eBay but I do want it to be new and sealed. I don't mind paying the $56(same price as 3000G) for it new but it's currently sold out at Staples for that price. The difference between the 200GE, 220GE and 240GE is just 0.2 and 0.3 GHz right? The 200GE is supported on BIOS 1.20 and 220GE and 240GE are on BIOS 1.30, so I should just go with the 200GE right? Not only since the performance boost is next to nothing but because I have a better chance for the BIOS to be version 1.20 than 1.30. All I remember is updating the BIOS, that's it. So 1.20 may be what's it's on and the 200GE may be my best bet unless there's some performance boost of some sort.

It looks like you're suggesting a particular method. Could you clarify what you'd like me to rephrase or adjust?

Seems like a good match. Appreciate your assistance. I looked on eBay and the 200GE is listed around $40, with some selling as high as $141. One buyer actually paid $141 for a brand new unit. The next lower price was $90. There are only two listings available, and I’m not willing to pay $84 or $133 for a deal on eBay when Staples has it for $56. If anyone knows another CPU that fits this motherboard, I’d love to hear it. It should work with BIOS versions 1.10 to 1.30, probably. I was planning on the 3200G, but it looks like newer BIOS versions are required. I thought I should have kept my 2200G, but I got $85 for it a couple of years ago when they were selling between $75 and $91. I was wrong about the price. EDIT: It must be an APU if you find one that matches. I won’t be purchasing a GPU unless you recommend a very affordable option.

I managed to purchase an R3 2200G on eBay a while back for $65, and it seems they’re still around that price.
