BIOS doesn't recognize the HDD.
Hello, I own an Asus X570-P Prime motherboard with an NVME SSD. I'm trying to install two 2TB WD Black HDDs, but they seem to ignore the BIOS. I've reviewed the manual—NVME is shared with SATA 5/6—and connected to a 3/4 port. I've tested various cables and confirmed the SATA ports are active. The drives appear functional since they worked in another PC, but they're still not being detected. I've updated the BIOS and tried different cables, but nothing changes. I'm stuck and would really appreciate any help.
Hello, I own an Asus X570-P Prime motherboard with an NVME SSD. I'm attempting to install two 2TB WD Black HDDs, but they aren't being detected by the BIOS. I've reviewed the manual; it says the NVME uses SATA 5/6 and I'm connected via a 3/4 port. I've tried various cables and checked the BIOS settings, making sure RAID isn't enabled and that SATA ports are active. The drives seem fine since they worked in another PC. I've updated the BIOS and tested with different cables, but nothing works. I'm struggling and would really appreciate any help. Windows 10 64-bit, EVGA 750W PSU, AMD Ryzen 7 3800X, BIOS updated.
The problem lies with the drives not appearing in BIOS or Disk Management, suggesting SATA isn't recognizing the connected devices.
