Hello, your setup is a bit unusual. You're using a 9th-gen PC with MSAA enabled in Battlefield 4, while in World of Warcraft you rely on FXAA. This difference might cause compatibility issues.

The "Anti Aliasing Post" is a quick anti-aliasing method. It's also known as FXAA.

I'm not sure what you're asking, but I see you're confused about settings on YouTube. The term fxaa and MSAA aren't standard terms in this context. Clarify your question so I can help better.

What configuration is set for BF4? For instance, I'm using high resolution but scaling up to 170% removes the need for AA, while lower settings might not work for FXAA.

^ Additionally, FXAA appears quite poor; opt for MSAA instead.

BF4's in-game menu offers two forms of AA: Antialiasing Deferred, which is traditional MSAA or something similar and Antialiasing Post, which is post-processing AA. Are you saying Antialiasing Post is missing? There is no in-game option for "FXAA," at least not by that name.

It's odd. I think I might have seen an FXAA option on YouTube for BF4... perhaps something shifted. I set everything up fully: hbao/ssao off, 2x msaa, low AA post, 100% resolution. Vsync On. I also notice my game occasionally stutters with micro drops for a few seconds. The GPU isn't overclocked (stock 960/1250) and temps are around 70. If I crank the fan to 80, temps drop to nearly 60. CPU runs at 860k at default voltage. APU/pCIE frequency auto. Should I tweak anything or cut back? The game runs smoothly at about 60 fps, but when the stutter happens... eww.

This kind of performance usually comes from a capable GPU paired with a CPU that's not quite up to the task. The Athlon X4 860K is on the lower side, and BF4 can put a lot of strain on the CPU. It's unlikely any adjustments would make a big difference. Give it a try with the Low preset for a short while and check if stuttering persists. FXAA is a post-processing effect, so Antialiasing Post should be comparable. Given DICE's ties to AMD for BF4, I'd assume it uses SMAA or a similar proprietary method. FXAA is typically a Nvidia technology, probably.
