I'd expect it could potentially impact everything, especially micro-stutter. As the more optimal memory access is, the less time the CPU will be spent waiting on the next piece of data to work on. Can't say if its worth it though, I've never bothered to fiddle with it personally.
If it's not 100°C and you can't sense the warmth, you might be able to push it, but the change isn't significant unless even at high FPS, like when I dropped from 141 to 144 fps on the last bit of cache OC—still not reaching 8°C. In reality, it never got above 80°C during games. My gut tells me 8°C isn't worth it.
