Choose a lightweight OS like Linux or a minimal Windows version. Your hardware supports older systems, so prioritize stability over performance.

You might consider exploring a Linux distribution. For those unfamiliar with Linux, Xubuntu is a beginner-friendly option!

We’ve checked various configurations and discovered Lubuntu works on older systems like Pentium II or Celeron with as little as 128 MB RAM. However, such setups wouldn’t handle daily tasks efficiently. Increasing RAM to 256–384 MB improves performance and usability. At 512 MB or more, the experience becomes much smoother.

Sure, I'll take care of that. Let me know if you need anything else!

I don’t think it’s very valuable and I can’t install Windows since there are no updates left, just found it sitting there.

Consider Void Linux. It works on any system and lacks systemD support.
