I currently use BFH on PS4, but I just discovered there are still thousands of active players on B4 for PC. Should I consider switching? BFH maintains an active community on PS4, though I dislike the need to unlock weapons for both criminals and police. I’d like a consistent loadout regardless of team. Is BF4 similar in this regard? Thanks for the advice, and just hoping it doesn’t spark any conflict.

BF4 stands out significantly compared to hardline, as hardline essentially just represents an expanded version of BF4.

According to Interfectorem, the game remains active and enjoyable. However, being hardline on PC is no longer viable.

Together with others, BFH seems to dislike the campaign too. But if you're using an AMD card, both versions should work the same as on the console with identical hardware thanks to the middleware.

BF4 performs significantly better; ensure compatibility with medium settings and 60+ frames per second.

Absolutely, it's a solid choice—easy to locate servers and a vibrant player base remains strong.

This version of BF4 is mainly just an upgraded edition of BF3 with a still poor plot, a protagonist who rarely talks and follows orders from others despite being in charge. Hardcore fans might find it better due to its unique weapons and gameplay options.
