B550 display turns dark unexpectedly after applying XMP profile.
hi guys, can you please help me with my XMP issue? Problem : I purchased memories that support 3600MHz. After setting the XMP for this in the bios the system hangs up with black screen of death Specs MB: Gigabyte B550 Vision D url CPU : Ryzen 9 5900x RAM : Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600MHz CL16-19-19-39 1.35V 32GB (2x16GB) url can you help me figure out why doesn't the xmp work or how to do it manually?
If the system won't boot and there are no POST sounds, reset the CMOS. Intel provides instructions for this, and AMD's setup is similar. Once the CMOS is reset, attempt to configure the settings manually by overclocking the RAM as specified in the manual.
It seems you're having trouble with a manual process. Can you clarify what you're trying to accomplish?
I chose 1.45V power. The system started up, though I don’t see any changes. My experience remains at 2140, even with XMP enabled and the BIOS indicating 1.45V memory.
Sure, that makes sense. I'm not great at keeping track of CPU or memory speeds, so I assume the current setup is still at 2133 MHz. The aim is to boost it to around 3600 MHz. XMP is already enabled, and the voltage is set to 1.45, which works fine—system boots at 1.35 as well, though speed isn't improving.
